Race page

Ardgartan Trail Race is a 21mileish foot race held at Ardgartan Forest Park.

The route is 90% off road and will follow a loop of the Ardgartan Peninsula, with some tarmac, forestry trails and a nice open hill section across to Lochgoilhead before the climb back up to the Rest And Be Thankful and the final downhill section to the finish. There will be hills and there will be waterfalls a plenty.

Water Station/Checkpoints

There will be 2 water stations at 7 miles and 13 miles. These are more for safety reason due to the time of year and possible poor weather.

Due to the limited parking at Ardgartan Car Park, runners are asked to car share where possible. Information on additional parking will be available in the race briefing or updated on the Facebook page.

Runners will be required to carry mandatory kit due to the time of year, which will be outlined in the race briefing sent out 3 weeks before the race. This will include a small first aid kit for running repairs.

Runners are reminded to read and understand the full race briefing and should ask any questions if they are in any doubt about any information. “I didn’t know” is not an excuse and will lead to disqualification

Please remember t-shirt for this race is an optional extra.
